Sierra Megeve Mammoth Mountain Condo Rentals

When you want to stay close to the slopes, and a "short" walk to the lifts really means a short walk, you can't get any closer than the Sierra Megeve Condos in Mammoth. Pronounced "Mej-evh" it is a funny French name, with a great location. Megeve France is known to be one of the most famous and fanciest ski resorts in the French Alps built by the infamous Rothschild family. A select few of these condominiums are very nice, but not all meet our rigorous standards.

Canyon Lodge and the Mammoth Village Gondola are just steps away from the front door. You can roll out of bed and right onto the slopes, or take a ride on the skyway to grab some lunch. The properties come in just two sizes, two bedroom or three bedroom, with an equal number of bathrooms. They're perfect for families of 4 - 8 people. There is a year round spa, seasonal pool and when Mammoth is dumping snow, you'll be happy to be parked in the subterranean garage, It is also one of the few buildings that is handicap accessible with an elevator.

Besides location, Sierra Megeve is known to be a very quiet and peaceful complex. It borders right on the residential neighborhood, and while it might be right across the street from the ski lodge, in the evening you can hear a pin drop and see a sky full of stars. The free blue line shuttle bus stops right in front and that will whisk you away to the Village or into the town of Mammoth Lakes. The location makes it family friendly as the kids can run home when they forget a glove, hat or mitten, or because they are too pooped to ski another run.

The properties are not undersized or overly large, yet comfortable for a family getaway. Each will have a fireplace, Internet and a kitchen stocked full of the basics so you can make a meal, heat a meal and have a few friends over to enjoy it with you.
